Slinger School District âSignificantly Exceeds Expectationsâ on DPI report card
District and two schools receive five-star ratings

SLINGER â The Slinger School District received a fivestar rating on its 2024-2025 Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction report card, which placed the district into the âSignificantly Exceeds Expectationsâ range for the school year.
For the 2024-2025 DPI report card, the SSD received an overall score of 84.8 on a 100-point scale, up from 80.7 in 2023-2024. The two schools within the district to also receive a five-star score were Allenton Elementary School and Slinger Middle School. The DPI report cards were released on Nov. 11.
In the report cards, the schools are given scores for how well they do in meeting expectations (overall score), achievement (standardized test scores, proficiency in key subjects), growth (improvement in student learning over time), target group outcomes (growth of the students with the lowest test scores), and students on track to graduate (includes attendance patterns that can impact student success). On the SSD report card, achievement is weighted 36.9% of the overall score, growth is weighted 13.1% and both target group outcomes and on track to graduation are weighted 25%.
On the 2024-2025 report card, the SSD received an 89.2 out of 100 in achievement, up from 80.7 in 2023-2024.
The district also outpaced the state averages in the achievement subcategories of English language arts and mathematics, with a score of 83.8 in ELA achievement compared to the 63.9 state average for K-12 districts, and 94.5 in mathematics compared to the state average of 65.6.
The SSDâs achievement score ranked within the top 4% in the state.

The schools within the Slinger district scored as follows on the DPI report card for the 2024-2025 school year:
Addison Elementary School: 82.1 overall score (four stars), an 88.6 in achievement, a 65.1 score in growth, a 65.3 score in target group outcomes, and a 95.4 score for on track to graduate.
Allenton Elementary School: 94.7 overall score (five stars), a 93.7 achievement score, an 87.9 growth
score, a 99.6 target group outcomes score, and a 94.7 on-track-to-graduate score.
Slinger Elementary School: 81 overall score (four stars), a 95.5 achievement score, a 50.8 growth score, a 68.9 target group outcomes score, and a 96.7 on-track-to-graduate score.
Slinger Middle School: 88.2 overall score (five stars), an 92.4 achievement score, a 72.7 growth score, a 82.7 target group outcomes score, and a 95.6 on-track-to-graduate score.
Slinger High School: 78.6 overall score (four stars), an 81.9 achievement score, a 69.8 growth score, a 65.3 target group outcomes score, and a 95.1 on-track-to-graduate score.
