Good afternoon wonderful citizens of the 22nd district, and beyond…
I wasn’t going to speak on this matter, but after some thought, I’ve decided to exercise my free speech right. I’ll start my stating, or reiterating something I said during my campaign, Mr Siegel had no intention of truly being the representative of the 22nd long term. It was only a stepping stone used as leverage to help his name recognition. Now we have 2 candidates, on the democratic side, who don’t really have the trust of the citizens of the 22nd from what I’ve seen and heard from talks with neighbors and others. I’ll say it again, I AM NOT A POLITICIAN!! There was no hidden agenda in my campaign; I am a man born and raised in this area, a first generation immigrant, who TRULY cares about this community. From the community, for the community was my slogan, and I meant every word of that. What’s sad to me is now we have to put someone in a position of power that we don’t have the trust or faith in. I hope whoever wins this seat, takes it seriously, sees it as a long term investment of the community they represent, and will fight for what truly benefits our residents. Part of me wishes I ran again for state rep of the 22nd, but I don’t want to be affiliated with this mess of a political arena we are observing.
