Meet Cathy Talianek, Bright Hope's sonographer!

With 40 years of experience, Cathy brings a wealth of knowledge and a heart for helping women to her work at Bright Hope. In addition to performing ultrasounds, she helps educate our clients and played a key role in introducing Doppler technology so moms can hear their babies' heartbeats.

When asked what she loves most about working at Bright Hope, Cathy shared:

“My favorite part of working at Bright Hope is that it is not work. It is an incredible mission which I am blessed to be a part of. I get to use my many years of experience along with my passion for helping women, particularly moms-to-be.

The best part of that is being the one who gets to show them their baby for the first time and allow them to bond early with their baby when they hear the heartbeat for the first time.”

We're grateful for Cathy's expertise, compassion, and enthusiasm, and for the difference she makes in the lives of the women we serve.

We’re excited to share some good news: Jaime Hill is Bright Hope’s new Chief Executive Officer! ❤️ Jaime began serving in this role on August 28.

Many of you already know Jaime through her work with Bright Hope’s Community Education program. She first began volunteering with Bright Hope in 2019 and joined our staff the following year as Community Education Director.

During her time leading Community Education, Jaime helped guide tremendous growth in the program — from reaching 406 students through 191 presentations in the 2020–21 school year to reaching more than 8,000 students through more than 2,000 presentations last school year, with nearly 50,000 student touchpoints.
Before joining Bright Hope, Jaime served as Program Director for Teen Choices at the Pregnancy Resource Center of Southwest Oklahoma, where she helped expand the program from one county to seven across the region.

But numbers tell only part of the story. Over the past several years, we’ve seen Jaime’s dedication to Bright Hope’s mission, her care for those we serve, and her ability to build strong relationships with staff, volunteers, and community partners. We’re excited to see her bring those gifts to her new role as CEO.

We’re also incredibly grateful for Jennifer Davies and the faithful way she led Bright Hope during our season of transition. Jen stepped into the interim CEO role when we needed her and gave so much of her time, energy, and care to Bright Hope, our staff, clients, and supporters. We’re thankful for all she did during that season and wish her the very best in what comes next.

Please join us in welcoming Jaime to her new role and thanking Jen for her faithful service to Bright Hope. And please keep both of them in your prayers as they begin these next chapters.

Meet Tara Temple. ❤️

As Bright Hope’s Administrative Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator, Tara helps keep our office running smoothly and supports the work happening throughout the organization. If you’re interested in volunteering at Bright Hope, Tara may be one of the first people you’ll connect with!

When asked what she loves most about working at Bright Hope, Tara shared:

“The way we all work together for the same cause, the support and encouragement we all share with one another. I tell people this: One of the things I love about this job is that we truly do live out the model Christ gives of being one body, with each person being a different part, or member, of that unified body.

“We all have different roles, skills, talents, etc., and in the end, that’s what makes the ministry successful. That’s how God intends it.”

We’re grateful for the many people who bring different gifts, skills, and talents to Bright Hope. It’s the way those individual roles come together that allows us to care for women, babies, and families throughout our community. ❤️

Meet Darlene. ❤️

As Bright Hope's volunteer receptionist, Darlene is often the first person a patient meets when she walks through our doors.

"The services Bright Hope provides are vital to our clients and patients. I get to schedule appointments and welcome them when they arrive. That gives me the opportunity to let them know we can help and, from the very beginning, show them they matter.

I have no medical or counseling training, but as a volunteer, I still get to interact personally and make a real difference. I'm so blessed."

A warm smile, a listening ear, and a caring welcome mean a lot. We're so grateful for volunteers like Darlene, who help every woman feel seen, valued, and cared for from the moment she arrives.

“A whole little person.” ❤️

When this mom first reached out to Bright Hope, she was anxious and confused by an unexpected pregnancy and felt she didn't have much support.

During her appointment, she was very nervous and didn't want to look at the ultrasound screen. Her patient advocate listened to her concerns, discussed her options, and explained what steps she would need to take if she chose to parent. She’s since decided to continue her pregnancy.

Every patient deserves compassionate care, accurate information, and the opportunity to make an informed decision in a supportive environment.
