Today, members from Allentown and Wellsville Rescue came together for a joint training exercise involving a simulated airplane crash in a remote area.

Throughout the day, crews participated in several hands-on evolutions designed to challenge and strengthen a wide range of rescue skills. Training scenarios included search operations, victim triage, fire extinguishment, airbag lifting operations, aircraft extrication techniques, and rope rescue work. Multiple victims were utilized to simulate a variety of injuries and patient care challenges, creating realistic scenarios for responders to work through.

These exercises provided an excellent opportunity for everyone involved to sharpen existing skills, learn new techniques, and work together in a challenging environment. Training is a vital part of what it takes to be a first responder, and opportunities like this help ensure we are prepared when our communities need us most.

Thank you to everyone who spent their Sunday training with us and helping make this exercise a success. A special thank you goes out to our volunteer victims who dedicated their time to help create realistic training scenarios for our crews.

Working together today helps us serve our communities better tomorrow.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Sunday May 31st Morning and into early afternoon there will be a presence of emergency service personnel and equipment in the area of Whitehill rd #1 and Hog brook rd. members from our company along with Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps., Inc. will be conducting training evolutions on remote rescues. Please use caution when traveling thru the area and be aware there is NO real emergency.

Earlier today, Allentown units were dispatched to assist at a heavily involved structure fire on County Road 38 in Alma.

Allentown 1 arrived on scene and assumed 1st due engine duties alongside Alma 7. Personnel quickly went to work stretching multiple handlines from the engine for fire attack operations as crews worked together to bring the incident under control.

Mutual aid assistance was provided by departments from Wellsville, Willing, Genesee PA, and Shinglehouse PA. While crews operated on scene, Scio stood by in our quarters to provide coverage for the district.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported as a result of the fire.

A special thank you goes out to Scio for the standby coverage, as well as all assisting agencies for the teamwork and support shown throughout the incident.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Today, the members of the Allentown Volunteer Fire Company remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.

As we pause to reflect this Memorial Day, we also invite the community to stop by and support our Annual Boot Drive happening today on Main Street! Our members will be out collecting donations to help support the fire company and continue serving our community.

Please stop by, say hello, and show your support. We appreciate everyone who continues to stand behind us.
