Last night, our members trained on vehicle rescue techniques and safe patient extrication.

We were also joined by ESI Equipment, Inc. who showcased some of their latest rescue tools. It was a great hands-on opportunity to explore new technology that supports our work on scene.

Thank you to ESI for spending the evening with us and to Yocum Towing for allowing us go use their facility and providing cars to practice on! We’re always working to improve our skills and readiness for the community.

A sincere thank you to DrinkLMNT and the generous community member who nominated Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company
through the “Give A Salt” program.

Our firefighters recently received a supply of LMNT electrolyte drink mixes to help keep our team hydrated during emergency calls, and training exercises.

We’re incredibly grateful for this thoughtful donation and for the continued support from our community.

Members made quick work of this vehicle fire last night in the Devonshire neighborhood. The fire was contained to the engine compartment.

Last night, members gathered to train on vehicle fires. Topics such as procedures and potential hazards were discussed before moving to hands-on evolutions with live fire.

Engine 31 along with Chief 31 responded to South Whitehall early this morning as mutual aid for a working dwelling fire. The crew assisted with search and overhaul.

Today just after 0400hrs, Station 32 and surrounding companies were dispatched to the 2800 block of Helen Street for a reported dwelling fire. Chief 32 arrived on scene with heavy fire showing out of the front window on the first floor, making it a working fire. Engine 32 arrived on scene as the first due engine, with Tower 3 and Air 32 arriving just behind them. Crews quickly forced entry, initiated a fire attack, and began searches of the dwelling. One victim was found on the second floor and was unfortunately pronounced deceased on scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal.

Last night, Rescue Engine 31 along with Chief 31 responded into the City of Allentown for the 6+ alarm factory fire. The crew assisted with water supply coordination and checking for extension into the neighboring homes.

While on scene, a crew of 6 was standing by at Station 31 to cover calls in the township.

Congratulations to FF Riley Nemitz for completing his check sheets and earning his seat as an interior firefighter.

Riley is a recent graduate of SHS and will be heading to RPI to study engineering in the fall.
