Happy National Intern Day! 🎉🙌

Today is the last day at our national headquarters for our amazing summer interns, Baylee and Marisa! 💙💛

This summer, they dove headfirst into everything L.E.A.D. does — and we mean everything:

📊 Researching national & regional drug and violence data to help shape our programs
🤝 Supporting our philanthropy team with research to strengthen our partnerships
🎪 Working our National Conference and L.E.A.D. Fest events — logistics, customer service, all of it!
🔍 Getting a real, behind-the-scenes look at what makes a small, nimble nonprofit tick (spoiler: it's a lot of hats and a lot of heart ❤️)

Both Baylee and Marisa are pursuing careers in law enforcement! 🚔 Baylee holds a degree in criminal justice with a minor in public administration. Marisa is pursuing a degree in criminology with a minor in chemistry and heads back to the classroom in a few weeks 📚

In just a few short months, they became part of the L.E.A.D. family. 🫶 We are so proud of everything they accomplished and can't wait to see where their next adventures take them!

Wrapping up an incredible week at FASRO!

Our final day of training was one to remember—and we even had a special guest, K9 Duke, join us! 🐕 Thank you to everyone who attended, stopped by our booth, and spent time learning about the new L.E.A.D. + Botvin LifeSkills Training (LST) partnership.

Another outstanding day as we welcomed School Resource Officers to our Middle School L.E.A.D. Instructor Certification featuring Botvin LifeSkills Training (LST)—equipping officers with proven, evidence-based prevention strategies that make a lasting impact.

Tonight, be sure to stop by the Vendor Event! We’d love the opportunity to meet you, answer your questions, and show you how the L.E.A.D. Program and Botvin LST are helping communities build stronger, healthier futures for students.

Did you select one of our trainings in the FASRO WHOVA app? Be sure to fully register for it on our website so we can prepare your materials! Our trainings are leveled by grade (https://leadrugs.org/calendar):
✅ July 21st: High School (Grades 9 and 10)
✅ July 22nd: Middle School (Grades 6, 7, 8)
✅ July 23rd: Elementary School (Grades 3, 4, or 5). IMPORTANT: When you register, for the Elementary School training, choose the grade you are most likely to teach (not all 3!).

‼️ Seating is limited and pre-registration with L.E.A.D. is required to guarantee your seat.
