Each neighborhood mobilizes its unique assets—people, businesses, programs and services, resources, public policy—within self-governing bodies that practice shared decision-making, shared resources, shared accountability, and shared outcomes for the children living and learning in the neighborhood. Promise Neighborhoods view each community through the lens of its unique assets, to vision a better future, measured by how well these resources coordinate around clear results for children. Striving to have these best practices become common practice, Promise Neighborhoods are quickly becoming the region’s premier vehicle for achieving neighborhood transformation, one child at a time.

Tonight is heavy.

Families are grieving loved ones. People are hurting. People are scared. And too many are carrying the pain that gun violence leaves behind. Our hearts are with every person and every family affected by the violence tonight. At PNLV, we believe violence can be interrupted and more lives can be protected. That is why this work matters so much in moments like this.

If you are dealing with a conflict, worried that someone may retaliate, concerned about a young person, or feel like something is about to happen, reach out to us. Message PNLV. Tell us what is going on. Let our team help connect you to the right support before another life is changed forever.

And tonight, please check on the people around you. Sit with someone who is grieving. Call the person who has been quiet. Remind someone who is hurting that they have another choice and that they do not have to carry this moment alone.

What an incredible day at our Community Resource Summit! 🧡

We are so grateful to Boys and Girl Club for sharing their space with every community member who came out, every organization and vendor who shared resources, and every partner who helped make this event possible.

The turnout was amazing, the giveaways were incredible, and most importantly, we were able to bring people together, connect families with resources, and create a space centered on community and support.

With most attendees already heading home and our vendors beginning to wrap up, we have decided to end the event a little earlier than our scheduled 5:00 PM closing time. With bad weather expected later today, we want to make sure everyone has enough time to get home safely.

We sincerely apologize to anyone who planned to stop by later and was unable to make it before we closed.

Thank you again to EVERYONE who showed up and supported today’s Community Resource Summit. We truly appreciate you, and we could not have had such a successful day without our community. 🧡

Two community members who attend the event, sign in upon arrival, and complete the registration will be selected to receive $500 in community support that can be used toward eligible household needs such as rent, utilities, and other essential expenses.
