The London Laurel Rescue Squad is proud to announce the Rick Yaden Memorial Human Remains Detection K9 Water Seminar, taking place October 16th–18th, 2026, in London, Kentucky. This specialized training opportunity is designed for K9 teams working in water environments and will feature large-volume cadaver source, providing teams with valuable, realistic training scenarios.

The cost is $300 per team (K9 and Handler), and we look forward to welcoming K9 handlers and teams from across the region. This seminar is a great opportunity to sharpen skills, build confidence, and train alongside other dedicated K9 professionals while honoring the memory of Rick Yaden.

Reminder: To make the seminar as informative as possible, we have limited the number of students.

Last weekend, team members Cathy and Bobbi Jo, accompanied by K9s Cooper, Storm, and Lemon, participated in the Canine Connection 2026 MUTC Disaster Seminar. They had an exceptional weekend with two outstanding instructors. We are very grateful for these opportunities, as they significantly contribute to our team's development.

Cathy and K9 Cooper participated in the comprehensive All Search Burn Workshop over the weekend, acquiring valuable insights and knowledge. We are very thankful for them having the opportunity to attend such a great workshop!

Two of our handlers and their K9 partners recently received a K9 Trauma Kit. Protecting K9 Heroes graciously donated these backpacks full of medical supplies for the K9s. We express our extreme gratitude.

Please welcome K9 Saki and handler Jake, certified in trailing to the team. They both come with experience and knowledge that will help the team. We would also like to welcome K9 Lemon to the team. She will be handled by Bobbi Jo, and they will be training for their HRD certification.
