KAB has collected over 400 pounds of discarded holiday stringed lights since December. The receptacle near Grinders in Buckeye Marketplace will be available until the end of March, and a year-round box is located near the elevator in the City Administration building. Thank you, residents, for spreading the word this season.
Update: This dropbox has been removed for storage until next season. Please use the year round box located at the City Administration Building near the elevators.

Have your Christmas lights lost their sparkle? Keep Alliance Beautiful in cooperation with Accurate IT Services is encouraging residents to “recycle holiday lights right” by dropping them into gift wrapped collection boxes located at Chase Bank, City Administration building, Giant Eagle Buckeye Village corridor, Rodman Library-Main, Alliance Friends Church, and Alliance City Schools. Lights cannot go in curbside recycle carts or mixed recycling dumpsters. They get tangled in equipment, causing delays and damage at the Recycle Center. This special collection drive will end around mid-January, however, lights can be deposited into a year-round box at the City Administration building.
