Last evening around 830pm our department was toned out for a structure fire in the 1100 blk of Patterson. We want to thank Lexington Township and Sebring Fire departments for the mututal aid and all our off duty personnel who were able to respind back into our station to cover the city in the case of more emergencies. There were no injuries to the occupants or firefighters. Our first in crews had some trouble getting to the fire room at first but were able to knock it down from outside so the interior crews could advance and get the rest of the fire out.

This evening we were able to witness the swearing in of our new Assistant Chief Chris Waffler, he has been with the department for 27 years and we look forward to his leadership. Congratulations Chris!! We also got to see our two probationary firefighters get sworn in. Zach Bucher and Jon Park come into our department with experience behind them. Zach was on DC Fire in Washington DC before coming back home to Ohio. Jon was a member of Boardman Fire Department prior to coming on here in Alliance. We want to congratulate both of them and look forward to getting them on shift!!

We want to thank Wal Mart, Texas Roadhouse and Meijer for dropping off snacks, drinks, and food to the station for National Firefighter day. Also thank you to Texas Roadhouse for helping us coordinate our dine to donate 10% to our charity. It is all greatly appreciated!

Tonight Texas Roadhouse is doing a dine to donate for our Charity. Just tell your waiter or Waitress about it and they should donate 10% of your bill to the charity. Thank you!

Our Pump In date is set! Mark it on your calendar. Come out and see the trucks, enjoy the food and watch the events between departments. We hope to see you there!!

It seems someone is trying to scam our citizens using our departments name to solicit donations via phone calls. They asked for a donation to support the department by getting a subscription to a fire prevention magazine. WE ARE NOT SOLICITING DONATIONS FOR THE ALLIANCE FIRE DEPARTMENT. If our charity organization or union do a fundraiser it will be done through the proper channels and will be advertised on our fb page. Please share this so people are aware of the scam. Thank you!
