Our Baby Yoda Party was out of this world!

Tweens and teens had the opportunity to make Baby Yoda themed crafts, try their hand at a few Star Wars themed games, and enjoy "blue" milkshakes and blue cookies.

Teen Dungeons and Dragons is making a return to Rodman Public Library on June 8.

Teens, 12-18, can sign up at Rodman Public Library to participate in an ongoing series of “one-shot” Dungeons and Dragons missions on the second Monday of each month from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Players do not have to play consistently each month to participate.

Those interested can sign up via our online calendar on a month-to-month basis. Space will be limited each month to six players. A DnD Beyond account and email address is required to play.

Our final Spring Storytime at the Branch was held Thursday (May 14).

Storytime sessions will return to the Branch as part of our 2026 Unearth A Story Summer Reading programming on Wednesdays between June 10 and July 22. Identical sessions will be held at both 10:30 a.m. and noon.

Rodman Public Library is pleased that the Alliance Historical Society is sharing stories of the Carnation City's past through our display case as we mark America 250.

Our next exhibit is up at Rodman Library. This time we are highlighting “Alliance Moves” with Alliance’s connections to transportation. We have everything from the railroads that put us on the map to the Stark Electric Railroad, and automobiles to Taylorcraft and flying. Come check it out!

Have you ever heard of Dr. Joseph Warren?

Some historians speculate that had he not been an early martyr for the cause of independence, one of the original Sons of Liberty would have rivaled George Washington in popularity.

Local history enthusiast Sid Zufall enlightened an audience with Dr. Warren's story during the May "Forgotten Founders" lecture, co-sponsored by Rodman Public Library and the Alliance Historical Society.

The next gathering of the Rodman Chess Club will be next week on Wednesday, may 20 at 5:30 p.m. inside the Main Auditorium.

The group is open to players of all ages and skill levels. No registration required.
