At 08:00 this morning, 22 student gathered in South Park to finish their wild land firefighter training instructed by Pa DCNR Wild land Forestry team. Scenario #1 - approximately 10 acres of woods was burning and crews had to hike back approximately .5 miles and construct a 2 foot wide fire line around the parimeter. After lunch, students returned to base camp for their next scenario.Scenario #2 - Protect an exposer building. Crews deployed a high pressure pump into a nearby stream and deployed approximately 800 feet of hose, a portable drop tank and a second pump to help protect the exposure .

We are offering a last-minute accelerated EL-22 Interior so the students in limbo can take their NFPA 1001 FF1 written test June 4th and skills test 7th. Students MUST have completed their Haz Mat ops prior to this class.
