On Sunday August 23rd the Iowa 4-H Foundation honored the 2026 inductees into the Iowa 4-H hall of fame in a ceremony held at the Iowa State Fair. Butler County 4-H is pleased to announce Holly Wedeking of Greene as our 2026 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame inductee. Holly began her 4-H career as a member of the Jackson Lucky Clovers 4-H Club from 1987–1994. She grew up on a swine farm in Butler County, where her family raised spotted hogs. This sparked her interest in exhibiting swine and cattle at the Butler County Fair. Holly also exhibited swine at the Iowa State Fair, along with open and national shows. Holly became involved in 4-H again in 2012 when her daughter Emma joined the Jackson Lucky Clovers. She then became a leader of the club and has continued serving in that role for the past 13 years. Holly and her husband Ryan live on a farm outside of Greene, where they raise swine, beef cattle, goats, and sheep. They have always been strong supporters of 4-H, helping with club projects, community service activities, and assisting younger members with their livestock projects. Holly is always encouraging youth to try new things and step outside their comfort zones, whether through static projects or showing livestock. She enjoys helping members build confidence, learn new skills, and grow through their 4-H experiences. Holly’s dedication, support, and encouragement have made a lasting impact on Butler County 4-H, and Butler County is honored to recognize her as a 2026 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame inductee.
