This is a perfect opportunity for our community pride to shine. This area is heavily traveled by locals and visitors, connecting routes that lead to NJ's beautiful beaches 🏄‍♀️, fireworks 💥at the Salem County Fairgrounds, FIFA ⚽️, Welcome America and MLB All-star⚾️ events! A reminder that the SCIA OFFICE will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026. PLEASE NOTE: the LANDFILL will be OPEN on Friday, June 19, for solid waste haulers. The Convenience Center will be open on Saturday, June 20, for Salem County residents. If you have any questions, please call 856-935-7900. Thank you.

Summertime visitors generate a lot of additional recyclable materials for our shore communities. Please take the time to support the environment by continuing to recycle while away from home. On May 28, several of Salem County's Municipal Recycling Coordinators toured the Omni Recycling LLC facility in Pitman NJ. This is where most of Salem County's single stream items (cardboard/occ, glass, aluminum and plastic) are processed and baled for global recycling markets. This very large pile behind the coordinator's is a very small portion of what Omni processes on the daily. ♻️ There are infinite options for these materials! Keep them out of the garbage and put them in the bin! ♻️

This is event features an abundance of environmental information, interactive demonstrations, and the opportunity to connect with various community partners. Did I mention the free giveaway items?
