A very well deserved honor for one of our very own! A big heartfelt congratulations goes out to Grandpa Al!!! Thank you for all of your years of the selfless dedication and protecting our communities! We are all sure lucky to have you!

Last night, Alvin Lunderville was honored for an incredible 50 years of service with Black River Falls Fire and EMS, a milestone that reflects a lifetime spent showing up for his community when it mattered most. That department has always been more than a team, it’s been a second family.

Congratulations, Alvin. Your dedication, leadership, and commitment to service set the standard for others to follow. Black River Falls is stronger because of you. We’re proud of you and thankful for everything you’ve given over the years.

We have some exciting news to show off…Engine Tanker 34.

We have been working on this brand new truck for more than three years. With the help of a FEMA grant, we were able to contract with Stainless & Repair out of Marshfield to build this truck.

It holds 2,800 gallons and can pump 1,250 gallons per minute. If you can’t tell, it’s a big truck. Needless to say, it’s staying on the blacktop and pushing a lot of water. This apparatus will be a huge asset to our protection area because of its versatility and on board water capacity.

Yesterday, you may have seen it out on parade as we drove it around with all of our engines. Your next chance to see it might be out at a fire, the brat feed, or at the Strawberry Fest Parade. Either way, we are happy to be able to roll it into our fleet.

Last night we got together for our end-of-year banquet at Turtle Pond Tavern.

We recognized the Turtle Pond Tavern for hosting us last night and the many nights of bingo/meat raffles they have supported us with this year.

Al Lunderville and Jeff Casper were recognized for First Responders of the Year.

Ed Rollins was recognized as the Firefighter of the Year and Top Run Maker for the fire side.

Not pictured, but we’d also like to recognize Hunter Loveland for being the top run maker for the first responders.
