Next Saturday the Lincoln FFA Alumni and VFW Post 8494 will host a Brat Feed and Euchre Tournament. Dine or or Carry out Brat meal- free will offering. 50/50 drawing and Euchre tournament- $10 entry with 50% payback. There will be cupcakes donated by Norske Crafts and Treats during the Euchre Tournament. Not a fan or Euchre? Not sure how to play? No problem we will have other games available! Stop in and see us and support the Lincoln FFA Alumni and VFW

The Alma Center VFW is offering a scholarship open to any Senior who is the child, grandchild, great-grandchild, or sibling of a serving or honorably discharged Veteran of the US Military Forces. Also, we have extended qualification to any Senior who has enlisted with those Forces.
To apply, send a form with the Senior's Name, Contact Information, Year of Graduation, and relationship to the Veteran(s). Or be prepared to show a copy of enlistment or orders placing the applicant into military service.
Also, include an essay no more than two pages, introducing us to this Veteran and what his or her Service means to the applicant. If the applicant is an enlistee, please tell us why you have volunteered for Military Service.
Please conclude with a short description of applicant's plans and/or intentions for education and/or employment.
Any winners should be prepared to present their papers audibly to the members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 8494.

This Saturday October 16th come on down to the open house! Check out all the recent updates to the hall and take a look at some of the history as well. Help us celebrate 75 years strong and many more to come. We will be having pulled pork and beef sandwiches with all the fixings 11am to 2pm for FREE! This is to thank you, our community for supporting us over the years! There will be door prizes, 50/50, and also a chance for one lucky veteran to win a free life membership! Also, dont forget, time is running out to purchase tickets for our big November cash drawing. 🎉

We are all put of chicken! We are so thankful to all who stopped out to support us. It went unbelievably faster then we anticipated. Stay tuned, we may be back cooking up some more chicken in the near future!
