Public Works will be turning off water in the area of Stewart Dr, N. Baker St, and E. 7th St so that a leak may be fixed. Service will be resumed as soon as possible.

Today we’re celebrating someone who wears a LOT of hats around the City of Alma! 💙

Our Assistant City Manager, Human Resources Director, Web Master, Bacon Theatre Manager, and honestly, the glue that helps hold us all together — Trina Taylor! 👏🎉

No matter what is thrown her way, Trina always gives 110% to everything she does. Whether she’s handling City Hall business, taking care of employees, keeping our website running, managing the theatre, or stepping in wherever she’s needed, she does it all with dedication, heart, and a whole lot of hard work. 💙

We truly appreciate everything you do for the City of Alma and the people you work alongside every day. Your willingness to jump in, figure things out, and give your all does not go unnoticed!

🚨 SIGN REMINDER — CITY OF ALMA 🚨
A friendly reminder to all City of Alma residents, business owners, organizations, and anyone placing signs within the city limits about the City’s sign ordinance.
📋 Code of Ordinance — Section 74-6 states that it is unlawful for anyone, other than a government authority, to erect or place a sign—temporary or permanent—on the right-of-way of any state or federal highway, or on any street or sidewalk within the City.
This includes signs such as:
📌 Campaign signs
🏢 Business signs
🏷️ Yard sale signs
🛍️ Promotional signs
📣 Other temporary or permanent signs
Please make sure your signs are placed in accordance with the City ordinance and are not located within a street, sidewalk, or right-of-way.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation in helping keep Alma safe, accessible, and looking its best! 💙
If you have questions about where signs may be placed, please contact City Hall before putting them out.

REMINDER

Notice regarding signage, signs, banners, etc. Placement.
All signage must be removed from any City and/or State right-of-way areas.
Legal yard signs may only be placed on Private Property and MUST have the property owner’s permission. Please ensure your signs comply with Ordinance Section 74-6.
Remaining signs located within the right-of-way will be removed by the City and taken to the Public Works Shop.
You may call to claim your signs and arrange a pickup appointment during regular business hours.

EDIT: As of 9:50 All water should is back on.

Public works will have the water temporally shut off in the area of W. 8th, W. 9th, W.10th, and Glynn St. to fix a broken pipe. Repairs are expected to be done shortly.
