Alma Transit Center is making improvements to the rider experience. All of our departments are committed to providing the best customer service we can and this is just the latest example. Thank you to the staff at Alma Transit for your continued commitment to excellence!

The Alma Transit Center (ATC) has added an IVR feature to our phone system!

IVR (Interactive Voice Response) is an automated phone technology that allows callers to interact with a computer-operated system using voice commands or their touch-tone keypad.

This new feature will make it easier and more convenient for our riders to:

✅ Check the status of their trips without waiting to speak with a dispatcher
✅ Cancel scheduled rides without having to speak with a dispatcher

🕓 The new IVR system will be active starting at 4:00 PM today!

📞 A couple of important things to know:

You must be calling from the phone number associated with your rider account to use the IVR system.

If you have multiple rider accounts that use the same phone number, you can also access the system using your Rider Identification Number. You can find this number in the Alma Transit App, or you can contact a dispatcher who can provide it to you.

At ATC, we are always looking for ways to improve your experience and make using public transportation easier and more convenient. We hope you take advantage of this new feature and find it valuable!

Alma Police Department Job Posting: Open to sworn and nonsworn (civilian) community members.
We are looking for a Property Control Officer to join our team!
This position is part time with a flexible schedule. responsible for the secure and accurate intake, storage, tracking, transfer, and disposition of evidence and property. Duties include:
🔹 Receiving, packaging, and documenting evidence
🔹 Maintaining accurate chain-of-custody records
🔹 Safeguarding and properly storing evidence
🔹 Transporting evidence to and from the crime lab
🔹 Managing lost and found property
🔹 Coordinating evidence disposal and drug take-back activities
🔹 Maintaining supplies and evidence room records
🔹 Providing evidence-room orientation to new officers
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma/GED with some college coursework in law enforcement, criminal justice, or a related field
• At least 2 years of related experience preferred
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License and required insurance
• Certified or certifiable as a Property & Evidence Specialist

Hope in the Park tonight at Wright Park in honor of world su***de prevention day! City of Alma Parks and Recreation will be there along with many organizations in our community with lots of valuable information as well as food, games, and entertainment.

Today is world su***de prevention today, and we are again joining Child Advocacy and Gratiot Integrated Health Network for the now annual tradition of Hope in the Park! This is a wonderful community fair in Wright Park from 5 to 7 pm in support of mental health awareness and sharing the resources available in our community. Come enjoy inflatables, games, and a free picnic dinner of hot dogs!

Congratulations to the Alma High School Band for absolutely crushing the national anthem at the Detroit Tigers baseball game tonight! You were awesome and made Alma proud! It's been so much fun seeing the park packed with Panther Pride tonight. Now let's go Tigers!
