ROAD CLOSURE WELLS CREEK RD

We would like to inform you that the road stabilization project will start July 7, 2026 on Wells Creek Rd. Work will start on the east end of Wells Creek Rd and progress west towards K-99 Hwy.

During construction, there will be times when crews are working directly in front of your property. At those times, we respectfully ask that you avoid using Wells Creek Rd for approximately 24 hours to allow proper curing of the road base. While we do not have the authority to restrict access, your cooperation is greatly appreciated and will help ensure the success and longevity of the project.

ROAD CLOSED signs will be posted daily along the active work area to indicate where crews are working.

WABAUNSEE COUNTY ROAD AND BRIDGE IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR A FULL TIME DRIVER/OPERATOR

All applicants must be dependable, at least 18 years old, have or be able to obtain a Kansas CDL driver's license. On-site CDL training available. Have the ability to operate and maintain county owned equipment. Mechanical and construction skills are a plus. Competitive wages plus county benefit package, including paid holidays and sick leave. Four-ten hour-shifts year around (Monday thru Thursday). Wabaunsee County is a drug and alcohol - free workplace and an EOE. Applications may be picked up at the Wabaunsee County Road & Bridge office, 403 Iowa Alma, KS. 785-765-3432, or online @ wbcounty.org under the employment tab. Applications are due in the office by December 22, 2025 by 4:30pm.
