🐄🐑🐖 Nebraska 4-H Livestock Achievement Program – Year 5! 🐐🐔
The Nebraska 4-H Livestock Achievement Program is back for its fifth year, recognizing youth who go above and beyond in their livestock projects! This program promotes learning in selection, production, leadership, and exhibition across all livestock species.
🔹 Open to enrolled 4-H livestock youth
🔹 Species include beef, sheep, swine, meat goat, dairy, rabbit, poultry.
🔹 Three achievement levels: Junior, Intermediate, Senior
🗓 Apply by June 15
🗂 Plans & Reports due August 1
🏆 Members of Excellence will be recognized at the Nebraska State Fair Grand Drive.

Virtual Module – For those attending a location that only offers Day One or are attending a location that offers both days, but live 50 miles or more from the location.

Federal law restricts youth under the age of 16 from operating certain farm equipment unless the farm is owned by their parents or legal guardians. However, certification through the National Safe Tractor and Machinery Operation Program (NSTMOP) provides an exemption, allowing 14- and 15-year-olds to drive tractors and operate specific mechanized equipment.

CALLING ALL 4-H YOUTH AGES 16-18
If you are interested in learning more about being a Harlan County 4-H Ambassador please use the link below or give us a call!

The application can be obtained at the Extension office, downloaded or filled out online and must be completed and returned to the Extension Office by June 15th.

Harlan County 4 H Ambassador Requirements:
• Must be 16-18 years of age by January 1st.
• At least 2 years active membership including the current 4 H year
• Upstanding individual willing and capable of promoting 4 H in Harlan County
• Once named as an Ambassador, they are ineligible to compete again.
