Registration is open for the September 10th, 2026, ServSafe Manager Certification Course to be held at the Glynn County Extension Office (325 Old Jesup Rd, Brunswick GA 31520) from 8:30am-5pm! The course is hosted by the Glynn County FACS Agent, Michelle Quick, and is completed in a one-day format. Price for the course is $150 and includes 8 hours of instruction, course materials, textbook, and certification exam. Register in the Glynn County Extension Office by check, cash, or card. Deadline to register is August 14th.

Tattnall and Evans County Extension Offices will be hosting a Southeast Georgia Citrus Workshop on Tuesday, July 28th, at 9:00AM at the Vidalia Onion Vidalia Research Center (VOVRC) located at 8163 HWY 178, Lyons, GA 30436. Lunch will be served. This meeting will consist of traditional research presentations and outdoor hands-on learning, where producers can interact with specialists in small group settings.

Speakers include: Aubrey Shirley, Dr. Apurba Barman, Dr. Lauren Diepenbrock, Dr. Manjul Dutt, Jason Mallard, Dr. Jonathan Oliver, Dr. Mary Sutton.

Topics will include: IPM strategies, irrigation & other cultural practices, key insect pests & diseases (snails, mites, psyllids, citrus canker, greening, greasy spot), industry research updates.

Pesticide credits will be available.
