April is the Month of the Military Child, and today Officer Mahan had the honor of bringing that recognition to Alma Primary School! 💜

The Month of the Military Child is dedicated to celebrating the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of children whose parents serve in the military. These kids face unique challenges—frequent moves, long separations, and constant change—yet continue to show incredible courage and adaptability.

Officer Mahan took time to speak with students about what this month represents, helping raise awareness and ensuring our military-connected children feel seen, supported, and appreciated.

We are incredibly fortunate to have Officer Mahan as part of the Alma Primary School community. His dedication goes far beyond law enforcement—he builds relationships, mentors students, and consistently shows up to make a positive impact in their lives.

Thank you, Officer Mahan, for all you do to support our students and for helping us honor our military families. 💜🇺🇸

This honor could not have been given to more deserving person. Kevin Holmes has fought to protect the children of our community since his first day of office.

The Alma Police Department will forever remember our first call to Kevin Holmes after he took office, and how his leadership ultimately brought a conviction in that very tough case.

🚨💊 Community Strong: Alma Comes Together for a Great Cause 💊🚨

The Alma Police Department is proud to partner with the Hand to Hand Foundation as our community participates in Arkansas Drug Take Back Day!

This important event gives everyone a safe and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired medications—helping keep our homes safe and preventing misuse in our community.

At the same time, the Hand to Hand Foundation will be hosting a fundraiser to support their ongoing efforts to serve and uplift those in need right here in Alma. Their work makes a real difference, and this is a great opportunity to give back while taking a step toward a safer community.

Join us at Alma Walmart, April 25th 10am-2pm, clean out those medicine cabinets, and consider supporting a great cause.

Together, we can make Alma a safer, healthier place to live. 💙

Officer Gregory made a proactive traffic stop that led to a significant drug bust. During the stop, Officer Gregory conducted a lawful search of the vehicle and discovered approximately 33 pounds of methamphetamine.

This substantial seizure prevented a large quantity of dangerous narcotics from reaching our communities. Actions like these highlight the vigilance, training, and dedication our officers bring to protecting the public every day.

We remain committed to keeping our streets safe and will continue to aggressively pursue those who distribute illegal drugs.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity. It is going to be a great time with our friends at Alma Fire!!
