Please consider becoming a foster parent today.

Every child deserves a safe, loving place to call home. By becoming a foster parent, you can provide stability, support, and hope to a child during a critical time in their life.

Your compassion can help a child heal, grow, and believe in a brighter future.

One caring adult can make a lifelong difference.

Are you noticing that your utility bills are on the rise? Do you notice air leaks, or drafts in your home?
Could your home use some energy efficient updates?

If any of these things apply to you, and you have applied for the WI Home Energy Assistance Program, you may be eligible to have weatherization services done to your home.

What is Weatherization ?
During the past 50 years, weatherization services have been provided nationwide to millions of low-income families and individuals.
There is no cost to homeowners, and renters can also receive services with the approval of their landlord, who pays a small portion of the total cost of weatherization services.
In Wisconsin, approximately 6,000 homes are weatherized each year.

Western Dairyland has funding to weatherize 200 homes each year in our service area of Eau Claire, Buffalo, Trempealeau, Jackson, and Clark counties.
Weatherization services vary with each home, depending on how it was built and its current condition.

Here is a short video on the benefits of weatherization - https://vimeo.com/747679904/d4891f9142

Standard weatherization services include:
• installing attic and sidewall insulation,
• sealing major air leaks,
• repairing or replacing furnaces,
• caulking and/or repairing inefficient windows and doors,
• adding weather stripping, insulating hot water heaters,
• installing energy-efficient light bulbs and appliances,
• plus, other energy-conserving activities.

Who is Eligible for Weatherization?
If you received Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP) benefits during the last heating season, you are eligible for weatherization services.
You may also qualify if your income is at or below 60% of the Wisconsin median income. View the current income guidelines at https://www.buffalocountywi.gov/165/Energy-Assistance

Western Dairyland provides weatherization services for residents of Buffalo, Clark, Eau Claire, Jackson, and Trempealeau counties.

It’s easy to apply – Just use the link below and fill out the online application.
