In light of additional New World Screwworm detections, I have expanded Georgia's animal entry requirements to include the entire state of Texas and multiple counties in New Mexico.

Anyone bringing warm-blooded animals into Georgia from affected areas must follow the updated entry requirements.

The Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium (RDPC) is delivering an eight-hour, no-cost course
performance-level training PER-294: Testing an Emergency Operations Plan in a Rural EOC that
takes a proactive approach to testing rural communities’ Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs) in
an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) environment. This DHS/FEMA-certified training will be
held June 3, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Eastern) in Waycross, GA.
