🐾 Welcome to the Airedale Family!

Alma School District is excited to continue introducing new members of our Airedale family for the upcoming school year.

Please join us in welcoming Sarah Walker, who will serve as an Assistant Principal at Alma High School.

About Sarah: Sarah brings 16 years of experience in education and has served in a variety of leadership and instructional roles, including agriculture instructor, instructional facilitator, and, most recently, Principal at Mountainburg Middle School. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to student success, building strong relationships, and supporting teachers. Sarah is passionate about fostering a positive school culture, promoting academic excellence, and helping students reach their full potential. She looks forward to becoming an active part of the Alma High School community and connecting with students, staff, and families. Outside of school, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband, Andrew, and their children, Allie and Cooper. As a family, they stay busy with livestock projects and cheering on their children at sporting events.

We’re excited to have Sarah join our team and look forward to the positive impact she will make with our students, staff, and community!

Alma School District wrapped up the year by honoring the incredible people who make our schools so special at the annual end-of-year convocation.

Staff members were recognized for milestone years of service - from 5 years all the way to 35 years of dedication to Alma Schools!

We also celebrated this year’s retirees. Together, these 15 retirees represent an amazing 394 years of service in education. Thank you for the lasting impact you’ve made on generations of students!

Congratulations to our award recipients:
⭐ District Classified Employee of the Year - Jill Boyd, Alma Middle School
⭐ District Teacher of the Year - Keith Reeves, Alma Middle School

Inspiring remarks were shared throughout the event by Tiffany Gregory, Paige Clark, Kacie Ramsey, Garrison Jensen, Chuck King, School Board President Dustin Hughes, Dr. Duffie, Superintendent-Elect Kevin Hesslen, and Transportation Director Jason Rutherford.

The celebration also featured an energetic performance by Julianna Tufts and her band, bringing excitement and fun to the stage!

Special thanks to Heritage Photography for capturing memories from the event.

It was a wonderful celebration of the people whose dedication, passion, and service continue to make Alma School District an exceptional place to learn and grow.

🐾 New Role Announcement

Alma School District is proud to recognize members of our Airedale family who are stepping into new roles for the upcoming school year.

Please join us in congratulating Brandy Broyles, who will be joining the team at Alma High School as the new Literacy Teacher.

About Brandy: Brandy brings 17 years of teaching experience and has spent the last 9 years serving students at Alma Intermediate School. Alma holds a special place in her heart, as the community has been home to her family for many years. Her two sons are proud Alma graduates, her youngest daughter currently attends Alma Primary School, and her family has also enjoyed hosting a daughter from Germany. Brandy is excited to bring her passion for reading and writing to the high school level while helping students discover their voices and prepare for the future.

We’re excited for Brandy as she begins this new chapter at Alma High School and look forward to the continued impact she will make with our students and community!

Alma School District is excited to continue introducing new members of our Airedale family for the upcoming school year.

Please join us in welcoming Erin Anderson, who will be joining Alma Primary School.

About Erin: Erin recently graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Master of Arts in Teaching degree and is excited to begin her teaching career at Alma Primary School. She is passionate about building relationships with students and families while creating a classroom environment where every child feels loved, supported, and excited to learn. Erin looks forward to walking alongside her students as they learn, grow, and shine throughout the school year.
