Almena VFW Post 8512 Auxiliary President, Amanda Williams-Nelson attended the Department of Wisconsin Conference recently in Rothschild, WI. The experience was beautiful and educational. Upon nomination and election, President Amanda accepted a Department of Wisconsin VFW Auxiliary position as a Guard! It was definitely memorable.

In celebration of America's 250th birthday, Diane Conklin, Member and Amanda Williams-Nelson, President of the Almena VFW Post 8512 Auxiliary presented community members who displayed empty flagpoles or tattered flags with new flags.
The gifted flags were packaged with information about the VFW Auxiliary, flag etiquette, and proper display technique.
Along with presenting fresh new flags, multiple flags were given to the Auxiliary members for a dignified retirement.
Fly them high, proud, and free! God Bless America. 🇺🇸

What a beautiful day it was at Shadyside Park for our Memorial Day Program, 🇺🇸 thank you to each and every one of you who joined in to honor our heroes and celebrate freedom! Your presence truly made it memorable. Special heartfelt thanks to those who prepared and served a delicious spaghetti dinner after the program, your kindness and generosity were truly inspiring! 🍝 It was indeed a beautiful day filled with gratitude.
