While we've lost an icon and champion for literacy, Dolly Parton's legacy lives on in her Imagination Library. Did you know that your child can receive free books in the mail from age 0 to 5? Thanks to the Four County Community Foundation, we have a chapter of the Imagination Library in Almont. Pick up your sign up card from the library and participate in one of Dolly's greatest achievements. Thanks for everything Dolly ❤

What a summer it has been! Look at all the reading that was accomplished! A greater number of kids read over 10 hours this year! We are so PROUD of our community. More so, we are humbled and appreciative of the continued support you all give us. The Summer Reading Program wouldn't happen without the support of community sponsors and our awesome patrons:

We want to thank the Almont Lions Club for their continued support in providing us a space to host our kickoff event! They provided water and snacks to everyone during the event. You are always so helpful and a lifesaver for the unpredictable summer weather. We greatly appreciate your partnership!

The Almont McDonald's once again donated Happy Meal coupons for our weekly tote bag raffles. We appreciate how receptive you always are when we reach out. Thank you for helping make our tote bags special!

The Lapeer County 4-H MSU Extension deserves recognition for hosting a free fossil program at our library! Thank you for planning and facilitating an interactive afternoon for our kids!

Thank you to Rob Sterkel for sharing his monarch butterfly habitat and his dinosaur fossils! Everyone looks forward to seeing the butterflies every year. Your fossils were a perfect addition to this year's Summer Reading theme. Thank you!

To everyone who participated in our Summer Reading Program, thank you for coming out and supporting our library! Our program is only a success because our community makes it so. We can honestly say we have the best patrons. Here's to making next year's program even better!
