Today the St. Clair County States Attorney's Office filed charges against Marshall V Moss of St. Louis, MO after Moss failed to stop for one of our officers on Saturday 05/02/2020 around 9:38am. Our officer attempted to stop the vehicle in the 3600 block of Missouri Ave because it matched the description of a vehicle that was involved in a shooting in Belleville moments prior that was broadcast on ISPERN. Moss along with an unnamed passenger (charges pending) failed to stop and led our officer on a pursuit that ended in Ferguson, MO. Moss and the passenger bailed on foot but were apprehended moments later. A large amount of ma*****na, a firearm and a controlled substance were recovered and taken off the streets.

Moss is being held at the St. Clair County Jail on the following charges with a $75,000 bond:
- Armed Violence (Class X Felony)
- Unlawful Possession with Intent to deliver cannabis (Class 3 Felony)
- Felon in possession/use weapon/Firearm (Class 3 Felony)
- Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Peace Officer (Class 4 Felony)
- Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Peace Officer (Class 4 Felony)

The Alorton Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the pictured male in reference to a theft at The Flying J on 04/08/2020 at approximately 9:15pm. The unknown male approached the counter and asked for several cartons of ci******es. The unknown male had the cashier retrieve another item when he walked out of the store with the cartons of ci******es without rendering payment. The male was driving an older 4 door red/maroon sedan. The governor plans to issue a statewide shelter in place lockdown today at 3pm that will go into effect tomorrow (Saturday). Grocery stores, gas stations, pharmacy’s etc will still be open and accessible throughout. No need to go out and hoard food and supplies. You will still be able to get what you need.
