🚨🚨🚨 Catalytic Converter Theft Alert / Request for Surveillance Video 🚨🚨🚨
The Phillipsburg Police Department is investigating several catalytic converter thefts that have occurred over the past few days.
At this time, we are attempting to identify a vehicle of interest described as a dark blue Dodge Durango with tinted windows and a loud exhaust.
The incidents appear to have occurred on Saturday, May 9, at approximately 4:00 a.m. While we believe these thefts likely occurred during a single spree, surveillance footage captured before or after that date and time may still have evidentiary value and could assist in identifying the vehicle and/or suspects.
Affected areas include:
• 800 Block of Dewey Avenue
• 600 Block of Sayre Avenue
• 900 Block of 6th Avenue
• 100 Block of Carpentersville Road
• 1000 Block of East Boulevard
We are asking residents in these areas, or anyone nearby, to please check any home surveillance, doorbell cameras, business cameras, or dash cameras for video that may show the vehicle and/or any suspects.
Anyone with information or surveillance footage is asked to contact the Phillipsburg Police Department at 908-835-2002.
As always, residents are encouraged to remain alert, report suspicious activity immediately, and avoid approaching anyone involved in suspicious behavior.
