❗️Trash Talk❗️

If you have been the one disposing of your household garbage (going on for a while) in the trash can outside the post office, it needs to stop! This is illegal dumping, Jeff nor anyone else that helps him should have to deal with your trash. It attracts gnats and pest’s.

Also, if you have large items and mattresses that are on public property (the curb), this is also considered illegal dumping and is a punishable offense. Please call Spencer Brothers Disposal or Peterson Disposal Svc LLC and they can help you schedule garbage pick up or Henry County Sheriffs office will be contacted and we don’t like to bother Law Enforcement with these types of things.

🎉 10 YEARS OF SERVICE! 🎉

Tonight, the Village Board had the pleasure of recognizing our Public Works Superintendent, Jeff Kessinger, for 10 years of dedicated service to our community! 👏

And of course, we couldn’t let the occasion go by without a little surprise… with his family there to help celebrate! ❤️ Because let’s be honest—surprises are FUN! 😉

Jeff is one of those people who truly does a little bit of everything. He wears many, many hats and is always willing to go the extra mile (and probably a few extra miles after that! 😄).

His dedication, hard work, attention to detail, and expertise do not go unnoticed. Most importantly, you can see how much Jeff genuinely cares about our community and the place we all call home through the pride he puts into his work every single day.

Congratulations on 10 years, Jeff! 🎉 Thank you for everything you do to keep our community looking its best and running smoothly.

🍨The Ice Cream Social is Sunday, August 2nd from 5pm-7pm at the Gazebo. Even Steven will be playing so bring a bag chair and enjoy some ice cream and treats sponsored by the Village Board.

If you haven't drove along W D Street, you're truly missing out on the beautiful flower pots that Andrea Kessinger has created. She has been planting these for several years, and they never fail to look amazing. Thank you, Andrea, for helping make Alpha a beautiful place.

Please help pass this Friendly Reminder along to your neighbors because this IS happening and must Stop.

Business dumpsters and garbage cans are not for public use. Disposing of personal, household, or work-related trash in them without permission is considered Theft of Services, which is illegal.

When this occurs, it reduces the available space in the dumpster, preventing businesses from fully utilizing it until their scheduled trash pickup.

Please respect private property and dispose of waste at your own cost. Contact Spencer Brothers Disposal or Peterson Disposal Svc LLC for trash service.

E-waste is not recycling. This is considered illegal dumping and punishable by fine. Please come get your TV and contact Eagle Recycling in Galva to dispose of it.
