It’s a beautiful day and the tarps are coming off the tables for our Book Sale! Stop by 10AM - 4PM for great deals on books starting at 50 cents! Cash, check, Venmo and Zelle accepted.

Do you love books? Are you looking for a way to give back to your community for only a few hours a month while also getting first dibs on our latest books?? We need help setting up and cleaning up our book sales each month. When you see our big book sales on the porch of the library what you don’t see is our volunteers bringing those books from our storage unit and placing them on the tables for the sales. Come give us a hand! Even if you can’t make every monthly sale, many hands make light work!

Join us for our first OUTSIDE sale of the year! We’ll be on the porch and in our bookstore at the Alpharetta Library. Great deals on all genres of books (DVDs and CDs too). We accept cash, check, Zelle, and Venmo (for purchases of $3 or more).

We have some popular books in our “new releases” section. These are books published 2024-2026. We love when these shelves get full so if you’ve already read the books you got for the holidays drop them off if our donation bin!

Join us on Saturday for our used book sale. Upstairs in the bookstore and downstairs in the Storytime Room. We will be featuring books for Women’s History Month as well as an eclectic selection of albums. The Girl Scouts will also be selling cookies outside the library.

With a couple inches of snow and frigid temperatures expected tomorrow, the Friends Bookstore will be closed Saturday. Stop in today to pick up some books so you are stocked for the weekend!

Edited to add: the Alpharetta Library is closed on Saturday, January 31st. Programs will be rescheduled. Stay warm!
