Congratulations to Captain Jeff “Stache” Wright on his well-deserved retirement! After 20 years of dedicated service to the City of Alpharetta and a career spent protecting others, Captain Wright leaves behind a lasting impact on his fellow firefighters and the community he proudly served. On behalf of the Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation, we thank you for your years of service, leadership, and commitment to keeping Alpharetta safe. Enjoy this next chapter, Captain! You’ve certainly earned it!

We are incredibly thankful that our Alpharetta first responders have access to specialized equipment like the Mini Med vehicle that allows them to reach people in emergencies when traditional vehicles simply cannot. This incident is a perfect example of why having the right equipment can make all the difference when every second counts. We applaud the Alpharetta Police Department, Alpharetta Fire Department, and EMS personnel for their teamwork and dedication to protecting those who live, work, and visit our community!

DID YOU KNOW YOUR GEORGIA STATE TAXES CAN HELP MAKE ALPHARETTA SAFER? Through Georgia's LESS Crime Act, you can redirect a portion of the state income taxes you already owe to help the Alpharetta Police Department purchase lifesaving equipment, support K-9 units, provide advanced training, and strengthen other critical police programs. These are taxes you already have to pay! Instead of simply sending those dollars to the state, eligible taxpayers can receive a dollar-for-dollar Georgia income tax credit for an approved contribution to the Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation. It's not about paying more or making an additional donation beyond your tax obligation. It's about choosing to put a portion of those tax dollars to work right here in the city you call home! Visit APSF.org to learn how easy it is to participate and how our foundation can help you through the process.

What an incredible evening of great food, laughter, camaraderie, and a community coming together for a cause that means so much to all of us!

Last Tuesday’s Red & Blue Cook For You event at Benihana was filled with unforgettable moments, friendly faces, delicious food, and plenty of excitement around the auction! But what made the evening truly special was seeing so many people come together to show their appreciation for the men and women who dedicate their lives to keeping Alpharetta safe.

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who attended, placed a bid, donated an auction item, volunteered, or helped make this event possible!

A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO OUR PRESENTING SPONSOR, Carl Black of Roswell! Your generosity and commitment to supporting Alpharetta’s public safety professionals played an important role in making this event possible. We are incredibly grateful for your partnership and for standing alongside the men and women who serve and protect our community. We also want to recognize all our wonderful sponsors whose support helped make the evening such a success!

Events like this remind us just how special the Alpharetta community truly is. It’s about more than raising funds. It’s about building relationships, sharing a few laughs, and reminding our Police Officers, Firefighters, 911 Communications professionals, and civilian personnel that their service and sacrifices never go unnoticed.

💙 THE FUN MAY BE OVER, BUT OUR MISSION CONTINUES!

If you couldn’t join us this year, you can still make a difference! ALPHARETTA RESIDENTS & BUSINESSES: YOUR STATE TAX DOLLARS ARE ALREADY GOING SOMEWHERE. WHY NOT PUT THEM TO WORK RIGHT HERE AT HOME?

The Georgia LESS Crime Act gives qualifying Georgia taxpayers an opportunity to redirect a portion of the state income taxes they already owe to support the Alpharetta Police Department, while receiving a dollar-for-dollar Georgia state income tax credit, subject to approval and applicable limits.

Think about it. These are tax dollars you’re already going to pay. Instead of simply sending eligible dollars to the state, the LESS Crime Act provides an opportunity to keep them working right here in Alpharetta, helping fund training, equipment, technology, and other critical law enforcement needs.

And we make the process easy.

The Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation has created a FREE LESS Crime Act resource and Quick Guide to help businesses and residents understand the program, how it works, and the steps to participate. And if you still have questions, our team is here to help guide you through the process.

You live here. You work here. You play here. Why not help keep eligible tax dollars here?

This is just one example of the work happening every day to keep Alpharetta safe. We are incredibly thankful for the men and women of our Police Department, Fire Department, and 911 Communications who are always there when our community needs them. Much of what they do happens quietly and without recognition, but their dedication makes a difference every single day. To all of our public safety professionals, thank you for protecting the people who live, work, and play in Alpharetta. We are proud to support those who support us.

Last night near Mansell Road and Old Roswell Road, an officer conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of a driver found in possession of a G***k switch, morphine, Xanax, ma*****na and other illicit items.

The driver now faces 5 felony charges and 6 misdemeanor charges.

This is a good reminder that traffic enforcement is about more than just what happens behind the wheel. Illegal weapons and controlled substances were on our roads, moving through our community. They’re not anymore. Getting these items out of circulation means they’re not making their way to someone else or becoming someone else’s problem.

We’re proud of the officer who took action and grateful to all of our officers who work every day to help protect the people and places that make Alpharetta home.

And, as always, make good choices out there. It’s a whole lot easier that way.

Congratulations to Alpharetta Post #919 on an outstanding competition and bringing home 1st Place Overall! Programs like this give Alpharetta youth the opportunity to build leadership, teamwork, discipline, and real-world skills while exploring a future in law enforcement and public safety. Know a young person who may be interested? Share this post and encourage them to learn more about joining Post #919!

Another Saturday dawned bright and early for the cadets cause it was COMPETITION DAY!!

This past weekend, Post #919 joined 16 other teams at Cobb County's Public Safety Village for an awesome day of scenarios — catching up with other posts and learning some new things to take home.

Thanks to all the agencies hosting scenarios and their role-players, cadets were able to work through many unique situations using their knowledge and skills to best solve each one. At the end of each scenario, cadets then met with the judges and role-players to get feedback and learn a few new ways to handle similar situations in the future. After six different events, a lot of sweat, strategy discussions (and probably more sweat), Post #919 brought home several trophies including a pretty important one — Most Professional Team Award.

1st Place – Active Shooter
2nd Place – Felony Traffic Stops.
3rd Place – Suspicious Person
1st Place - Male Walk-Up PT
1st Place Overall

We’re so proud of the hard work these cadets have put in working together, learning to function as a team, but most of all we’re proud of how they responded to each scenario with professionalism and a mindset ready to learn!

What if a portion of the Georgia state income taxes you already owe could help strengthen public safety right here in Alpharetta?

That’s the opportunity provided by the Georgia LESS Crime Act.

Eligible Georgia taxpayers and businesses can contribute to qualified law enforcement foundations, such as the Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation, and receive a dollar-for-dollar Georgia state income tax credit, subject to applicable limits and approval.

For local businesses, this is more than a tax credit. It’s an opportunity to invest in the community where your employees work, your customers live, and your business grows.

Contributions made through the program directly support the Alpharetta Police Department, helping provide resources for equipment, training, and other initiatives that strengthen police departments and the safety of the Alpharetta community.

You already have to pay taxes. The LESS Crime Act gives you an opportunity to help determine where some of those dollars make an impact.

👉 Learn more about the LESS Crime Act, eligibility, and how to participate by visiting the link below. https://apsfoundation.org/less-crime-act/
Keep your tax dollars invested in your community.
