The Texas Department of Public Safety, along with other law enforcement agencies, will be conducting a large-scale mass casualty training exercise on Wednesday, Aug. 13, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Sul Ross State University campus in Alpine. Please expect delays when traveling adjacent to the campus or plan an alternate route.

The University Center will be closed to the general public on this date. While the rest of the campus will be open, it may be prudent to avoid unless you have pressing business.

SRSU Community-

In Support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, The Sul Ross Honors Club is collecting health and beauty aids for the Family Crisis Center of the Big Bend (FCCBB). Anything from toothpaste to hair brushes to soap is accepted.

Any items that you’d like to donate to help individuals at one of the lowest points in their lives will be greatly appreciated.

You can bring items to the Honors Office (Ferguson 214) or you can call the Honors Office (432-837-8408) and ask for a pick up. We’ll be glad to come get your donations.

Items will be collected through the rest of the month.

Law Enforcement will be conducting training in Fletcher Hall all week throughout the day, please do not be alarmed by any loud commotion as it is part of the training.
