The Alta-Aurelia Music Boosters' annual fundraiser "Just Donate Night" will be on Monday, August 31, beginning at 5:30 pm. Alta-Aurelia Junior High and High School band and choir members will canvass town with their parent chaperones, asking for donations to the music department.

"This fundraiser helps us secure funds for needs in all of the music classrooms to help create more opportunities for all our students." - Alta-Aurelia Music Boosters

Sirens are meant for outdoor warning and may not wake you up in the middle of the night.

The City of Alta was contacted by Tristan Pugi, who is a student from Estonia, attending the TTK University of Applied Sciences, and is working his way through college. Tristan wanted to let the citizens of Alta know that he will be in town doing door-to-door sales, helping families with education. When Tristan is going door to door, he asks that if you are simply not interested in his products, just let him know, and he will bid you a good day and move on. 📚

Tristan has obtained a peddlar's permit from the City. The car he is driving is a gray Hyundai Tucson, plate SDN 958 and it will display ‘Southwestern Advantage’ logos. 🚗

We are asking for help from the adults in our community. We are having problems with scooters and bikes in the ballfield complex.

Kids on bikes and scooters are riding on the fields, tearing up the grass, and damaging the pitcher's mounds. Please talk with your kids and remind them that this is not allowed!

We have a group of VOLUNTEERS that work very hard to make our ball complex as good as it can be. This damage is creating more work for them!

Signs are posted that bikes, scooters, skateboards, and rollerblades are NOT allowed in that area. PLEASE talk with your children and remind them of this policy.

The Buena Vista County Sheriff's Office has been asked to monitor this area for such activity.
