History was made Friday night as the Altamont Indians captured the FIRST EVER Altamont Soccer Tournament Championship! 🧡🖤

The Indians battled their way through the tournament and capped off the night with a 3-1 victory over the ALAH Knights to claim the championship!

What a way to make history! 👏🔥

Congratulations to our players and coaches on an incredible tournament and a championship that will always be the first!

Due to the forecasted temperatures for Tuesday, September 1st, we have made some adjustments to our soccer game against Vandalia.

Thursday, September 17th is Leigh Syndrome Awareness Day. Students from AGS, ACHS, & ALIS will be having a HAT DAY & PINK DAY where they are encouraged to bring $1 or a free will donation to support Mae Buzzard and a cure for Leigh Syndrome. We invite ANY and ALL schools in our surrounding communities to join us in this cause.

Mae is the 1 year-old-daughter of Michael & Mackenzie Buzzard. Mae was diagnosed with Leigh Syndrome and has one shot to live. Mae has a lot of ties to our schools. Her dad, Michael is an alumni of AGS & ACHS. Mae also has family at ALIS. For more information, please visit Mae's Miracle on Facebook or curemito.org

Here’s a look at the upcoming week of Altamont Indians Athletics! Please take a moment to check out the schedule and plan to come support our athletes. 🏐⚾⚽🏌️‍♀️🏃

A quick reminder: Because of the heat we’ve been experiencing, some events may need to be adjusted, postponed, moved, or canceled based on IHSA heat guidelines.

IHSA uses Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) readings, which account for factors such as temperature and humidity to help determine safe conditions for athletic activity. As the WBGT rises, required safety modifications increase, and at higher levels activities may need to be delayed or postponed.

Please understand that these decisions are made with the safety and well-being of our student-athletes as the top priority. We will communicate any schedule changes as soon as they are confirmed.
