e survivors with no place to go, into her home, providing them with clothing, food, and shelter from her own personal funds. Clients have included people from all walks of life, ranging from various ethnic and religious backgrounds; some who were otherwise trapped in their home. In addition to domestic violence, human trafficking is a major concern. Although domestic violence and human trafficking are not the same, many areas of overlap exist. Forced marriages and violation of the rights through coercion are unfortunately a common overlapping issue. Hamdy further developing the idea with a mission to give back to the community, while streamlining healthcare and wellness education. The idea for Project Rebound comes from Mr. Tark Aouadi, an attorney and community advocate while working to help a formally incarcerated individual get back on his feet by consulting Mr. Hamdy for available transitional housing and employment resources. The evolution of what is now The Purple Leaf Foundation, Inc., is a result of the realization of the similar and overlapping initiatives, appreciating the idea of the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, leading to greater community benefit.
