🐯📚 Power Scholars in Action! 📚🐯

Our Power Scholars have been busy exploring text features and strengthening their reading comprehension skills! Students used headings, captions, photographs, and other text features to gather information while reading about a giant whale and a giant squid.

They also practiced comparing and contrasting the two fascinating ocean creatures, identifying similarities and differences using details from the text. Great job, scholars, using nonfiction text features to become stronger readers and researchers!

We're ready for summer! 🌞Join us next Wednesday (June 10) at Shreve Park (7th St @ YMCA) for Happy Birthday, USA! 🇺🇸 Choose either session: 9:30-10:30 am or 11:00-12:00 noon. All children ages 4 to 12 (with an adult ) are welcome to join us! Story, arts & crafts, snack, a book to take home, and food bags for families who want them.

☀️🐯 1st Grade Fun! 🐯☀️

Our 1st graders celebrated their 4th 9 weeks incentive with popsicles and extra playground fun! 🛝🍦

It was the perfect way to enjoy time together, celebrate their hard work, and make some sweet memories as we wrap up the school year. Way to go, Tigers

Our 2nd grade Tigers had an amazing Fun 4th 9 Weeks Incentive Day last Friday!

Students had a blast rotating through fun activities including Mrs. Hilldrup’s Glow Room, Mrs. Jackson’s STEM Basketball Room, Mrs. Niblett’s Hawaiian Ice Cream Shop, and Mrs. Holland’s Restaurant where they enjoyed popcorn! 🍦🏀✨🍿

What a fun way to celebrate all of their hard work this quarter!

💦☀️ Our AES Kindergarten Tigers had a SPLASH-tastic time at their final incentive celebration of the year — WATER DAY! 🐯🎉

From water games to lots of laughs and smiles, our kindergarteners ended the year making fun memories together! We are so proud of all their hard work, growth, and positive choices this school year. ❤️🖤
