For National Employee Wellness Month, we’re highlighting small choices that support big results. Staying hydrated—no matter where you work—keeps your energy steady and your body performing at its best.

Not a big water drinker? There are plenty of ways to make hydration easier and more enjoyable:

🍋 Add fruit to give it flavor
📱 Set reminders or track your intake on a smart device
🍉 Eat water-rich fruits and vegetables
💧 Keep a reusable water bottle at your desk and sip all day

Stay hydrated, stay energized, and keep making those small choices that support big wellness wins.

✨Employment Services Spotlight (Part I): Alexia's Success Story✨

“...the best job developer I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with by a long shot.” That’s how one client described Alexia, a Supported Employment Specialist at Challenge Unlimited, Inc..

Alexia recently began working with a client whose case was nearing closure due to inactivity. He wanted a job connected to gaming, something he would be excited to wake up for each day, but he was feeling discouraged after multiple applications and interviews did not lead to an offer.

Instead of giving up, Alexia listened closely, learned what mattered to him, and helped him look at the job search from a different angle. “If a participant is discouraged, or if they’re ready to give up, look at it from a different angle,” Alexia said. “Think of that person in a different way, in a different light.”

That new approach led them to focus on retail stores centered around collectibles and gaming, where his interests and knowledge could truly be valued. Alexia helped him apply, prepare, and walk into the interview with confidence.

With her support, he got the job.

Her client later shared that Alexia was “super vital” in helping him apply, prepare, and stay encouraged through the process.

Alexia, thank you for your compassion, persistence, and commitment to helping people with disabilities find meaningful employment. We’re proud to have you on the Challenge Unlimited Employment Services team.

✨Coming Soon: Part 2 - Client Success Spotlight. Stay tuned!

Today we are spotlighting Erin Sutton, CU’s Learning Specialist, as part of our Move It! campaign for National Employee Wellness Month. Erin has always been a big advocate of moving her body intentionally and has recently started taking up endurance sports again and is training for her first half marathon at the end of June.

But she admits that it is not always easy. “Running and endurance sports teach patience, consistency and quite honestly, it can be uncomfortable,” says Erin. “Challenging myself physically is helping me be the person that I want to be.”

Her advice to others who want to get started on their own health journey: “Pick something that you enjoy doing and start small! Break your goal down into smaller parts, steps or even bite size pieces and check them off as you reach them. You’ve got this!”

We are proud of Erin and all the dedication she’s poured into her wellness journey, and we wish her the best of luck as she takes on her very first half marathon at the end of June!
