Yesterday, we had our Community Coalition (CCC) Meeting at the Lyford High School Library. This meeting featured a structured Youth Leadership Café, led and facilitated by the youth themselves.

Our CYD youth took an active role in guiding discussions, sharing ideas, and engaging attendees in meaningful conversations centered around leadership, community involvement, and youth voice. It was inspiring to see their confidence, teamwork, and passion on display.

We are proud of the youth who stepped up to lead and help create a welcoming and engaging environment for everyone in attendance. Events like these continue to strengthen collaboration between youth, families, schools, and community partners while empowering young leaders to make their voices heard. 💫

Our agency was honored to take part in the Teen Dating Violence Awareness Event held at Kennedy Middle School in Pharr, Texas. Events like these are so important in helping educate and empower our youth about healthy relationships, respect, and awareness.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Hidalgo County District Attorney’s Office for the invitation and for organizing such a meaningful event. We also want to thank all of the agencies and organizations that participated and contributed to making this event such a success.

Together, we can continue making a positive impact in our community and support our youth through education and awareness.

In observance of Memorial Day, our office will be closed this Monday, May 25th.
We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26th.

🌸✨ Last night, we celebrated the Mothers of our support group in celebration of Mother's Day and had a wonderful night of connection and creativity! ✨🌸

We had a wonderful time celebrating all the amazing moms in our community with cake, cookies, chicken salad sandwiches, and a fun painting activity. Special thanks to HEB & Starbucks for generously donating the delicious snacks + refreshments!

Our team attended the Pinwheels for Prevention event hosted by Buckner Rio Grande Valley , a meaningful community gathering focused on raising awareness for child abuse prevention.

The event brought together families and community partners for an evening filled with games, crafts, resources, and live entertainment, all centered around promoting safe, supportive environments for children. The pinwheel, a symbol of hope and prevention, is a powerful reminder of our shared responsibility to protect and uplift every child.

We are grateful to be part of a community that continues to come together to advocate for prevention, awareness, and the well-being of our youth. 💙
