Please do not drop off expired food! 🙏🏼

UPDATE - This has happened twice in the last few weeks. 🤯

🫶ACS is thankful to everyone who thinks of the pantry by donating food. By donating food you are helping those in Alton who are experiencing food insecurity. Please take extra care and thought when donating food by checking expiration dates; the below pic shows the amount of outdated food dropped off at the pantry; some of the items were dated back to 2017! ACS now has to repack the items and dispose of them. Also please all food donations have to be in a bag(s).
We are grateful and thankful for all food non-expired food.

Here is a list of what is needed currently:

Canned Chicken
Cenned yellow beans
Canned peas
Sugar
Salad dressings
Baking mixes: cakes, brownies etc
Instant oatmeal

Thank you Profile Bank Alton, who generously donated $500.00 to Alton Community Services through the Alton Branch book donation program. Martha Bertsimas (pictured on the left) previously was the Branch Manager of Profile Bank's Alton Branch; Martha's new position is AVP Business Development/Small Business Lending at Profile Bank ([email protected]) Martha looks forward to continuing her relationship with our Alton community as well as maintaining and developing business relations and small business lending.

Make plans to get to Olde Bay Diner in Alton Bay February 1-15! Enjoy some wonderful food and help your neighbors at the same time by asking your server about making a donation to Alton Community Services by filling out a card to be posted in the diner.

Alton Community Services, now in its 27th year, is a non-profit organization that relies solely on donations to provide assistance to Alton residents in need.

ACS thanks Dawn for her role in allowing this fundraiser to occur.
