YWCA Southwestern Illinois is proud to host “A Day in the Life,” a powerful devised theater production presented by 3 Purple Coats Productions and directed by playwright and creative director LJ Becoat.

Created through the voices and experiences of local community members, this original production explores race, identity, relationships, healing, and the shared experiences that connect us all. Following the performance, audience members are invited to participate in a community Q&A and discussion.

3 Purple Coats brings everyday people together to collaborate on a one-act show. A colorful flyer sparks a spirited conversation about imagery, race, heartbreak, and ultimately finding common ground. Playwright LJ Becoat uses the participants' own stories to craft this unique show. The stories are real, raw, soulful, and honest, with splashes of humor.

Join us at this free performance on June 24th at Lewis & Clark Community College in Hatheway Hall (5800 Godfrey Rd, Godfrey, IL).

Doors open at 6:30 P.M.
