As we observe Labor Day, we take a moment to reflect on the dedication, hard work, and contributions of those who help make our communities strong.

At Calvary Cemetery, we are especially mindful of the many individuals whose lives were dedicated to serving their families, their communities, and others. Their hard work and the legacies they leave behind are a reminder of the lasting impact one person can have.

Please note that Calvary Cemetery will be closed on Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day. Our office and regular operations will resume on Tuesday, September 8th.

We wish everyone a safe, peaceful, and meaningful Labor Day as we take time to rest, reflect, and appreciate the work and sacrifices of those who came before us. 🇺🇸❤️

🌿 IMPORTANT CEMETERY CLEAN-UP NOTICE 🌿
Beginning Tuesday, August 11, Calvary Cemetery staff will be conducting a cemetery-wide inspection and removal of prohibited items in accordance with our Cemetery Rules. This clean-up is necessary to help maintain the beauty of the cemetery while ensuring the safety of our staff and visitors during the mowing season.

We had previously announced a prohibited item clean-up beginning June 29. Due to weather conditions, that clean-up was postponed. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we worked to prioritize the safety of both our employees and the public.

Beginning August 11 and weather permitting staff will remove prohibited items, including but not limited to:

• Artificial decorations placed directly on or in the ground
• Garden flags, statues, solar lights pinwheels, shepherd's hooks, stepping stones, garden rocks, golf balls, and alcoholic beverages-unless placed in a permanent in-ground vase
• Garden stones, borders, fences, edging, and other decorative enclosures
• Glass, plastic, metal, wood, concrete, paper, rock chips, glass beads, and similar objects placed on or around graves-including loose on the base of a headstone
• Any decorations attached to mausoleum crypts or columbarium niches without prior cemetery approval or attached with command hooks or other adhesive.

We kindly ask all families to remove any prohibited items before August 11 if they wish to keep them.

We recognize that many of these items have special meaning, and it is never our intention to cause disappointment. These regulations are applied consistently and fairly to every lot owner and exist to preserve the dignity of Calvary Cemetery while protecting our grounds crew and visitors. Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and continued support as we work together to keep Calvary Cemetery a peaceful and beautiful place of remembrance.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than a holiday it is a time to reflect on the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy today.

As we walk the grounds of our cemetery and remember the lives entrusted to our care, we are reminded that every name and every story carries a legacy of love, service, and sacrifice.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our fallen heroes and their families. May we never forget their service, and may their memory continue to live on in our hearts.

Wishing everyone a meaningful and reflective Memorial Day.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND...The staff of Calvary Cemetery extends our gratitude to the many volunteers who braved the rain and cold to place flags on veterans' graves. A special thank you to the Boy Scouts and Guido Santella for providing this service every year. Your dedication and volunteerism is greatly appreciated.

Planning ahead isn’t easy—but it’s one of the most meaningful gifts you can give your family.

Pre-planning your funeral arrangements takes the burden of difficult decisions off your loved ones during an already emotional time. It allows your wishes to be clearly known, your details thoughtfully chosen, and your family given the space to simply grieve and remember.

At Calvary Cemetery, we are here to guide you through that process with care, compassion, and respect. Whether you’re just starting to think about your options or are ready to put plans in place, we’ll walk alongside you every step of the way.

Pre-planning isn’t about focusing on the end, it’s about providing peace of mind for the future.

If you have questions or would like to learn more, please reach out to our office. We’re here for you.
