🌿 IMPORTANT CEMETERY CLEAN-UP NOTICE 🌿
Beginning Tuesday, August 11, Calvary Cemetery staff will be conducting a cemetery-wide inspection and removal of prohibited items in accordance with our Cemetery Rules. This clean-up is necessary to help maintain the beauty of the cemetery while ensuring the safety of our staff and visitors during the mowing season.
We had previously announced a prohibited item clean-up beginning June 29. Due to weather conditions, that clean-up was postponed. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we worked to prioritize the safety of both our employees and the public.
Beginning August 11 and weather permitting staff will remove prohibited items, including but not limited to:
• Artificial decorations placed directly on or in the ground
• Garden flags, statues, solar lights pinwheels, shepherd's hooks, stepping stones, garden rocks, golf balls, and alcoholic beverages-unless placed in a permanent in-ground vase
• Garden stones, borders, fences, edging, and other decorative enclosures
• Glass, plastic, metal, wood, concrete, paper, rock chips, glass beads, and similar objects placed on or around graves-including loose on the base of a headstone
• Any decorations attached to mausoleum crypts or columbarium niches without prior cemetery approval or attached with command hooks or other adhesive.
We kindly ask all families to remove any prohibited items before August 11 if they wish to keep them.
We recognize that many of these items have special meaning, and it is never our intention to cause disappointment. These regulations are applied consistently and fairly to every lot owner and exist to preserve the dignity of Calvary Cemetery while protecting our grounds crew and visitors. Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and continued support as we work together to keep Calvary Cemetery a peaceful and beautiful place of remembrance.
