On Saturday Dec. 11, 2021 the Altoona Police Department arrested JEREMY DANIEL WYATT on numerous Domestic Violence charges.

WYATT is alleged to have assaulted a female victim over a period of approx. 5 hours and held her against her will inside of a residence. WYATT is also accused of assaulting a 7 month old child, strangling both the child and the mother during this incident. WYATT eventually allowed the victim to use the shower, in which she was able to escape the residence wearing only a towel, screaming for help.

Police responded immediately after witnesses called 911 when they observed the victim fleeing the residence. WYATT fled from responding officers on foot and a foot pursuit ensued. WYATT was apprehended by officers following a foot chase in which he resisted arrest. WYATT then proceeded to kick the windows of a police cruiser as he was in custody. WYATT was transported to APD where he removed his clothing in a holding cell, then defecated, smearing f***s all over the walls and surveillance camera. The victims were transported to UPMC via AMED and treated for their injuries.

JEREMY DANIEL WYATT is charged with Aggravated Assault (3 counts), Kidnapping, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Strangulation (2 counts), Unlawful Restraint, Escape, Institutional Vandalism and various other related charges. He was currently out on bail from an incident in September 2021 in which he is alleged to have assaulted the same victims. Bail was denied by MDJ DeAntonio on these new charges and WYATT is currently housed in the Blair County Prison awaiting his preliminary hearing.
