As summer concerts and community events get underway in Altoona, the City of Altoona, Wisconsin - Government has issued a Declaration of Prohibited Smoking Areas to prohibit smoking, including va**ng, at concerts in River Prairie and at all times in The Yard - Altoona, Wisconsin. All lanes are open! 👏

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation project on Highway 53 is nearing completion. All lanes are now open. While there may be occasional work, the bulk of the project is completed.

We handled 11 construction-related crashes during the 3 weeks of construction. While construction may be complete, following too close remains a major contributor of crashes year-round. Always allow 2-3 seconds of following distance between the vehicle ahead of you.
