Late summer heat surge fuels multi-day severe storm and excessive rainfall risk Tuesday through Thursday.
Multiple rounds of severe storms and flooding are possible each day, with some potential for storms to continue overnight.
Severe storm potential is relatively high given very favorable environmental conditions, however timing and placement of each round of storms remains uncertain.

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Northeastern Blair County in central Pennsylvania...
Northeastern Cambria County in central Pennsylvania...

Northwestern Huntingdon County in central Pennsylvania...

* Until 845 PM EDT.

* At 755 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Curwensville to Lakemont, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Clearfield, Tyrone, Philipsburg, Woodland, Curwensville,
Stormstown, Bald Eagle, Bellwood, Warriors Mark, Hyde, Osceola
Mills, and Tipton.

Radar has indicated rotation within these severe thunderstorms.
Although a tornado is not immediately likely, tornadoes can develop
quickly during severe thunderstorms.

For those driving on Interstate 80, this includes areas between the
Clearfield and Snow Shoe exits, specifically from mile markers 122 to
139.

This includes Interstate 99 from mile markers 42 to 64.
Stay inside a well built structure and keep away from windows.

Very heavy rainfall is occurring with these severe thunderstorms, and
may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

* Flash Flood Warning for...

South Central Cambria County in central Pennsylvania...

* Until 1145 PM EDT.

* At 752 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 3 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Altoona, Hollidaysburg, Portage, Lakemont, Cresson, Gallitzin,
Duncansville, Salix-Beauty Line Park, Beaverdale-Lloydell, Lilly,
Sankertown, St. Michael, Dunlo, Horseshoe Curve, Canoe Creek State
Park, East Freedom, Spring Hill, Tunnelhill and Newry.

deaths occur in vehicles.
