Due to recent reports of drone activity in Modoc County, the Modoc County Sheriff's Office would like to remind drone operators to know the rules before you fly.

Drone operators are responsible for following all federal, state, and local regulations, including respecting the privacy of others. Flying over private property, capturing images without consent, interfering with emergency operations, or operating a drone in violation of FAA regulations can result in significant fines and penalties.

As we come to the end of the 2025–2026 MCORPS school year at Modoc High School, Sheriff Dowdy and OES Deputy Director Renae Sweet would like to congratulate all of our students on successfully completing another year in the program.

This year, students gained valuable hands-on experience through:
