Our first baby of the year has arrived here on the farm! ❤️ It’s a Boy!

First-time mama and baby are both doing great, and we couldn’t be more thankful!

Of course, Bryon and I were both out of town when she decided it was time. Thankfully, Zack was on farm duty. One of the biggest perks of our farm- the Ag teacher is our neighbor! When this little one needed to be pulled, they showed up without hesitation. Huge thank you to the Bickfords for helping Zack pull his first calf — we are so grateful for neighbors who show up when it matters most.

🐺 While we’re celebrating, there’s also a heavy reality. Wolves have been active in our area, and that adds a whole new layer of stress for this new mama — and for us — as we work to protect her baby. It’s hard to be a cattle rancher in this state. Here in Northern CA, our livelihood is increasingly being impacted by predators. The stress, the constant vigilance, and the financial strain all weigh heavily on the future of agriculture and family ranches like ours.

Still, I am incredibly proud to stand alongside a large group of hardworking men and women who are fighting every day to protect this way of life. Agriculture isn’t just what we do — it’s who we are. And we will keep showing up, just like our neighbors did for us!

🎃 That’s a wrap on pumpkin season 2025! We’re now closed for the year, and as we pack up the patch, we just want to say how truly thankful we are for everyone who came out to make memories with us. 🍂

For 10 wonderful years, you’ve made us part of your fall traditions — from the corn box to sweet treats to muddy boots and big smiles. Your support means the world to our family and helps keep small farms like ours growing strong. ❤️

We’re so grateful for every visit, every photo, and every memory made out here at the Patch. Here’s to family, community, and the simple joys of the season!

Field trip fun!! We love field trips! 🚌🎃 Did you know we do field trips two days a week through October?

We bring anywhere from 1200-2000 kids through each year and show them how pumpkins are grown, where there food comes from and arm them with some really corny Dad jokes! 🌾🐮🐷🐴🐓🐐🐑 Thank you to all of the schools, homeschool groups, daycares and adult activity centers for your support through the years!

🎃 We’re proud to donate 1200+ lbs of pumpkins to our hometown community of Dorris for their annual Halloween Family Festival on October 25th! 🧡
