They always keep our community and youth at the forefront of everything they do. Gratitude and thanks given from Modoc County 4-H. We would also like to thank Modoc Medical, Alturas Sunrise and Afternoon Rotary Clubs, Sage credit union and the Alturas Elks Lodge for their support and help with last night‘s JLS barbecue .

On behalf of the Modoc Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC), First 5 Modoc is proud to announce the award of grant funding to three local organizations dedicated to strengthening children, youth, and families throughout Modoc County.

The following organizations were selected through the CAPC grant review process for their commitment to improving community well-being, increasing opportunities for youth and families, and supporting prevention-focused services and programs:

* Modoc County 4-H Life Skills Projects
* Growing Modoc Surprise Valley Soccer Club
* Strong Family Health Center Stronger Families Program

“These organizations represent the strength and collaboration that exist throughout Modoc County,” stated Nicole Hinton, F5M Director. “Their work supports healthy families, positive youth development, and stronger community connections, all of which are critical components of child abuse prevention.”

Funding will support a variety of community-based activities and services designed to create safe, supportive, and enriching environments for children and families across the county.

The Modoc Child Abuse Prevention Council is committed to investing in local partnerships that strengthen protective factors, improve access to resources, and promote the long-term health and success of Modoc County families.
