**City of Alturas – Planning Commission Vacancies**

The City of Alturas is seeking qualified and community-minded individuals to serve on the Planning Commission. We currently have two vacancies and are currently soliciting letters of interest until filled.

A little bit about the Planning Commission:
Planning Commissioners play a vital role in shaping the future of Alturas by reviewing development project proposals, zoning matters, and reviewing different permit proposals, etc. Commissioners help ensure thoughtful growth while preserving the character and needs of the community. Planning commissioners must be residents within the city limits of Alturas. Planning Commission meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 5:30pm if there are matters to be brought before the Commission.
