🚨🐾 Meet the newest (and furriest) member of Durham Regional Police!

Let’s give a warm welcome to K-9 Riot—an 18-month-old German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix who’s officially joined the force. Riot is full of energy, highly trained, and ready to track down suspects, sniff out evidence, and help keep his community safe.

Riot and his handler, Const. Dan Woolley, just graduated from a rigorous 16-week training program where they mastered obedience, criminal apprehension, and tracking. The two are now part of the elite K-9 Unit, joining 12 other four-legged officers in the region.

Welcome to the team, Riot! 🐶👮‍♂️💙

SUSPECT ARRESTED FOLLOWING HOMICIDE IN MOUNTAIN PARK

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
MAY 14, 2025

MOUNTAIN PARK, OK - On May 13, 2025, the Mountain Park Police Department requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to investigate an assault.

That evening, emergency medical personnel responded to a 9-1-1 call at a residence near North Main Street and West Spring Street in Mountain Park. When they got to the scene, they discovered 32-year-old Corey Johns severely injured. Johns was transported to a hospital, where he later passed away from his injuries.

During the investigation, it was determined Johns had been physically assaulted. OSBI special agents and Mountain Park Police officers identified the suspect as 37-year-old Donald Streiff, who fled the scene prior to officers' arrival.

Based on the information and evidence gathered, Streiff was arrested on May 14, 2025. He was booked into the Kiowa County Jail on a First-Degree Manslaughter complaint. This is still an ongoing investigation.

The OSBI appreciates the Mountain Park Police Department, Kiowa County Oklahoma Sheriff's Office, and the District 3 District Attorney's Office Task Force for their assistance with this investigation and arrest.
